WHO IS

JENNIFER FORCHELLI?

Hi! My name is Jen Forchelli, but everyone calls me J-FO and you can too!

 

My Professional Bio:

My professional experience is a unique one to say the least! My original background was in theatre which I did from age 9 to 25 and due to that initial career path I have had my fair share of jobs. My unique job variety has not only helped me get super clear on the kind of work environment I need and what my strengths are as a team member, it has also taught me how to adapt very quickly in any environment and learn new skills with ease. 

 

I received my BFA in Music Theatre in 2003, and my Masters degree in Special Education in 2008. In a nutshell, I have a ton of patience, can breakdown complicated actions into easy steps and I have a positive upbeat (and entertaining) personality!

 

My professional work experience has been in three main industries: entertainment, education and online sales + marketing (e-commerce). When I worked in entertainment, I was the right hand support for casting directors and agents and supported them with the casting process. Then for two years I served as an Administrative Assistant for a marketing startup, where my experience in office management and organization was born. I learned some valuable experiences at that job and saw the company grow from 60 employees to 160.

 

As I mentioned above, I have my Masters Degree in Special Education and have worked both in the classroom, where I managed a special education team of 4 assistants and 12 students with special needs and in administration where I supported the lower school principal in the daily operations of a private elementary school. The wisdom I learned as a Special Education Teacher in the New York City Public School System was a profound experience and helped me become a hard worker, an excellent communicator and someone who does well under pressure.

 

The most recent and current industry I have been working in (and love) is the world of online marketing, where I have supported various 6-8-figure entrepreneurs and startups online. I started out in customer support, which I believe is the very best place to start. I worked my way up and was the operations manager for one of my clients where I managed every single aspect of her business: payment gateway, refunds, audio editing, customer support, monthly webinars, her team of health coaches, daily scheduling, weekly newsletter and blog set up, social media scheduling, on-boarding of new private clients, and the list goes on. In 2018 I transitioned my freelance skills into a start-up environment where I built a team of 28 support agents from the ground up. I also spent close to 2 years at one of the fastest growing e-commerce SaaS startups, which was my third SaaS company. What I have learned running Customer Support departments across six different online companies, by myself, is how to effectively wear many hats and create organizational systems. I also have learned that the most powerful position of any online brand is in the front lines of Client Care and the process from lead generation all the way to client onboarding and customer success. Not only is it important to have happy clients, but also amazing when you see a brand from the perspective of the client, it is everything! 

 

What I have learned from my 20 years of professional experience:

 

I am a true organizational nerd and a technology, marketing and information junkie

I am a constant student and I truly believe that there is always more to learn

I see the big picture and love to brainstorm with a creative team.  

I have worked for many remote teams and have learned to work well on my own.

I believe company culture is everything.

I enjoy a strong innovative (and social) start-up environment

I love working with like-minded individuals to create incredible experiences online that truly serve people.
